What we collect and why

When you fill in a form. The details the form asks for, such as your name, email address, website and message. We use them to reply, and to prepare for a possible collaboration. Legal basis: steps you ask us to take before a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering your question.

When you sign up for emails. Your email address and, if you give it, your first name. We use them to send what you asked for and our emails about ecommerce growth. Legal basis: your consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

When you book a call. Your name, email address, the time you picked and your answers to the booking questions. We use them to hold the call and prepare for it. Legal basis: steps you ask us to take before a contract.

When you browse the site, with your permission. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records which pages you visit, how you got here, your device and your approximate location. If you accept marketing cookies, advertising platforms can measure whether our ads work. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Details are in the cookie policy.

Technical data. Our hosting provider processes your IP address and browser details to deliver the site and keep it safe from abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of services to run the site. They process data only on our instructions:

  • Cloudflare: hosting, security and the form endpoint.
  • Resend: delivers form messages to our inbox.
  • Kit: our mailing list.
  • TidyCal: the booking calendar, which uses Google reCAPTCHA against spam.
  • Google: Tag Manager and Analytics, only after you accept cookies.
  • Vimeo: plays videos, only after you press play, in do-not-track mode.
  • Sanity: stores the content of this site and serves its images.

We may also share data when the law requires it. We never sell your data or share it for other parties' marketing.

Data outside the EU

Some of these services are based in the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, the transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Form messages and booking details: as long as we are in contact, and at most two years after our last contact, unless you become a client.
  • Mailing list: until you unsubscribe.
  • Analytics data: at most 14 months.
  • Client records: as long as the law requires, for example seven years for tax records.

Your rights

You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data, to limit or object to how we use it, or to send it to you or someone else in a common format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email [email protected] and we will reply within one month.

If you think we handle your data wrongly, please tell us first so we can fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the authority in your country.

Security

We use HTTPS across the whole site, limit access to your data to the people who need it, and choose providers that protect data to the same standard.

Changes
